Room for Many Beliefs
"I call that mind free which sets no bounds to its love, which wherever they are seen delights in virtue and sympathizes with suffering.
I call that mind free which jealously guards its intellectual rights and powers; which does not content itself with a passive or hereditary faith; which opens itself to light whencesoever it may be found."
William Ellery Channing, Unitarian Minister, 1826
WELCOME
Whatever the faiths you have known or the flags of your heritage
You are welcome
Whoever you are and whomever you love
You are welcome
And ...whether you come running into our church on little feet, walk in briskly, amble in, or roll in
You are welcome.
We are a liberal, noncreedal religious community, one of over 1,000 UU churches in the United States who are members of the Unitarian Universalist Association.
As a UU Welcoming Congregation, our members, friends and guests include heterosexuals, gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender persons, as well as Christians, Buddhists, Humanists, pagans, atheists, agnostics, skeptics, seekers, singles and couples, of different races, backgrounds, national origins and socio-economic circumstances.
Although Unitarian Universalists have varied beliefs about everything from scriptures to rituals to God, we uphold shared Principles and come together for spiritual development guided by freedom, reason and conscience.
